News(Los Angeles) Recording Artist Deztini Farinas has formalized a deal with record label Silent Giant Entertainment (SGE). The partnership with the company will provide the Arizona-based artist with resources to continue to generate quality audio and video content, maintain creative control and to expand both her reach and her audience.
The prolific vocalist and songwriter has made impressive inroads on social media with 80,000 Instagram fans, 60,000 YouTube subscribers, half a million loyal followers on Facebook and millions of YouTube views for her homemade videos, including“Independent Queen,” a 2013 viral hit. SGE co-founder and president, producer Edward “E-Dub” Rios, will provide hands-on expertise with all music and visual productions as SGE’s recording studio, BeatBox Pros, will become a creative home for Farinas. The A-List recording facility will also provide direct access to a roster of world-class producers, musicians and recording technology. Her forthcoming full-length “musical diary,” Confessions from the Queendom, was tracked at the Sherman Oaks, CA recording complex. “I have been waiting such a long time to get in the groove with someone who believes inmy music,” notes Farinas. Says Edward “E-Dub” Rios, “We at Silent Giant live to discover and partner with talents like Deztini: Real, authentic artists with stories to tell over music. She has a loyal support base and it’s because she’s as real as they come. We look forward to supplementing her growth.” SoundCloud |
BIO
Glamorous, gifted and genuine: Vocalist and songwriter Deztini Farinas is the real deal. With vivid lyricism, she extracts potent musical messages and real life dramas into the songs on her newest full-length, Confessions from the Queendom. “People have been following me on social media, seeing my ups and downs,” she says, “ but I’m private. These are diary submissions, vulnerable pieces from my life.”
Preceded by an impressive body of work that includes her signature hip-hop anthem “Independent Queen,” and the evocative “Soldier Boy,” inspired by her brother’s deployment to Afghanistan, Deztini’s videos have collectively garnered millions of YouTube views. A gifted singer with a distinctive tone and an expansive range, strong melodies are a through line as her expressive voice echoes with old school soul and fast-forwards into the future with a rapid-fire rhythmic edge. From Phoenix, Arizona, Deztini says she has been singing ever since she can remember. She taught herself to play keyboards and began writing songs. “It became my dream chase,” she says. But the dreams simmered on the backburner when she began raising kids at age 18, a story she details in her “Single Mamma’s Anthem.” A marriage, a divorce and a toxic relationship: as revealed on Confessions from the Queendom, despite these struggles, her artistry evolved, bloomed, and blossomed into something even more profound. “I combined my passion for music with being a kick-ass mom,” she says. Now in a new era of her career, her resilience shines through her songs as Deztini shares her message for women at similar crossroads. “I came from a lot of ugly situations, not only in my childhood, but in my adult life as well. I want women to who are going through these situations to know it’s not over. I’ve been through crazy shit, but I am the one who changed the energy in my and my children’s lives. We’ve found joy and I just want to be a light.” Discography |
