In 2002, Slow Pain ambitiously started a label called O Town Records. His wish to contribute more to the production process of music led to his successful endeavor as executive producer of O Town Mafia and O Town Gangsters, featuring Lil Demon, Sniper, Big Bandit, and Lil Crime. The albums Pain produced became two of the most successful compilation albums to date.
Soon after the success of these records, Slow Pain was asked to do an eight city tour of Japan, a country in which he previously found enormous success and a faithful fanbase. This time Pain decided he would bring well-respected music producer Fingazz with him. The tour was a huge success, and though every night was completely sold out, Slow Pain and Fingazz still found time to write twelve songs.
Upon returning to the states, Slow Pain took the new songs to his friend E-Dub, from Pocos Pero Locos. E-Dub proceeded to offer Pain a record deal at Silent Giant Entertainment.
Following Slow Pain’s acceptance of the record deal, “The OG” album was born. Set to release on March 25, 2008, industry vets anticipate this will be the best Slow Pain album to date. Pain reassures,“I have been in the game since the start, evolving from a gangster party rapper to a reality rapper trying to acknowledge the good in my people.”
As a respected musician and loyal mouthpiece to his community, the sky is the limit for Slow Pain, who continues to march down life’s road with pride for himself and all the supporters in and out of his Latin community. Empowered by fans and blessed with talent, Slow Pain’s successful career that began in the mid 90’s still continues to surge today. |
